A warm, design-forward leasing gallery concept featuring premium faux olive trees to soften a modern desert interior and create a more welcoming first impression for prospective residents.
Project Overview
Designed as a refined leasing gallery for a high-end multifamily community in Scottsdale, this concept focused on making the front-of-house experience feel warmer, calmer, and more residential. The design goal was to create a polished first impression for prospective residents while maintaining a clean, professional environment suitable for daily leasing activity.
Premium faux olive trees were introduced to soften the architecture, add natural height variation, and bring warmth to the lounge, reception, and window-side seating areas. In a desert contemporary interior defined by light oak, stone, plaster, and neutral upholstery, olive trees offered an understated and highly compatible greenery solution.
Design Intent
Rather than filling the space with excessive décor, the greenery plan focused on a few well-placed feature trees that could visually anchor the room and support the overall interior palette. The goal was to create a more welcoming and residential atmosphere without compromising the clean lines of the architecture.
Because leasing galleries receive frequent foot traffic and must present well every day, faux greenery offered a practical advantage. It delivers the sculptural presence of natural trees without the maintenance concerns, light sensitivity, or seasonal inconsistency often associated with live plants in commercial interiors.
Placement Strategy
The greenery concept centered on three key zones within the space. A feature tree was positioned near the main lounge seating area to establish visual balance and soften the furniture grouping. A second placement near the full-height windows helped transition the space between exterior light and interior finishes. A smaller accent tree near the reception approach made the arrival sequence feel more inviting and complete.
This placement strategy allowed the trees to feel intentional and architectural, rather than decorative or excessive.
Material & Styling Considerations
The selected tree form emphasized refined branching, realistic olive foliage, and natural-looking scale suited to premium residential and hospitality-inspired interiors. Neutral planters were chosen to complement the warm desert palette and to integrate cleanly with the stone, wood, and textile finishes throughout the space.
The final concept presents a leasing environment that feels elevated, approachable, and visually finished—ideal for a residential brand seeking a stronger first impression without adding ongoing maintenance complexity.
Why Faux Trees Worked for This Project
For presentation-focused commercial spaces, faux trees provide both aesthetic and operational value. They maintain a consistent appearance year-round, require no irrigation or special light conditions, and allow interior teams to achieve a complete, polished look from day one. This concept shows how thoughtfully placed faux greenery can support a premium leasing experience while remaining practical for everyday use.
